Cleveland Corner Bistro and B&B

The Cleveland Corner is a small fully licensed (18 seater) cosy Bistro that is open for lunch and evening meals. The bistro restaurant specialises in freshly cooked local sea foods that are served to order. The proprietors Ken and Cristel Smith have developed several menu standard classics such as "Bistro style Fish & Chips" which is a thick Cod steak served with real homemade crispy chips, and "Kens Hot Crab Pasta", which is local crabmeat mixed in a spicy olive oil and tossed in Linguine Pasta. To round off your meal Ken bakes two dessert classics, a flourless dark chocolate fudge cake and a fresh lime tart, both served with award winning "Brymor" ice cream.
Ken and Cristel have a long pedigree as far as refreshments are concerned having moved to Staithes from The Chicago Blues Cafe in Leicester and years before that the Cheese Cottage in Loughborough. Ken is somewhat of a designer too having invented whole range of Coffee Bean Dispensers which are marketed to an impressive client list through his former company the Beanbox Coffee Company which is now run by his son in the USA. Ken is a fully qualified Coffee Barista who had his own coffee roasting business for 8 years and still has the bistro's coffee beans roasted to his own specification.
Due to its size and popularity it can get very busy, especially in the evenings, and it is therefore advisable to book your table on 01947 084 1117. A typical 3 course menu with wine will cost approx £25.
